CO2-climate protection

In the present climate protection and the related CO2 emissions are on everyone's lips. But many people are not aware that lighting can add a significant contribution to reduce harmful substances by switching over to energy-saving systems and using the up-to-date technologies available on the market. Energy savings of 50% are synonymous with the reduction of pollutants at the same percentage.
Contribution to environmental protection
The conversion will prevent the release of PCBs, since the conventional ballast (KVG/VVG) isn't loaded any more. Reducing of energy consumption by 40-60% and related savings of CO2, sulfur oxide and nitrogen oxides contribute actively to environmental relief and are helpful for the ISO 14001 certificate. Because of higher lifetime of illuminants the lower amount of waste disposal cannot be ignored in addition to the economic advantage.
By the conversion of * 300 lamps approx. 51.105 kWh are saved. At a price of electricity of 0.18 €/kwh this means less cost of roughly 9.200 € net and approx. 30 tonnes of CO2 our environment is not longer charged with and this year by year.
Lighting consumes about 20% of the worldwide produced electricity and therefore contributes significantly to CO2 emissions which are partly to blame for the global warming.
